Through our compassionate service, Wayne County Home Care Aide Agency is there for you whether you are navigating the care of an elderly parent, or transitioning home from a hospitalization. Our services can make a true difference in the experience of aging at home. We offer Home Care Aide, Homemaker and Mobile Meal services that provide needed care while still fostering independence. Our approach involves the individual’s physical, social and mental well-being because we believe that everyone should have these supports and resources during aging or times of illness.
HOME CARE
When you need general housekeeping, meal planning/preparation or help walking outside and also would benefit from the skill of a trained nurse’s aide, Wayne County Home Care Aide Agency offers home care aides at a low cost. We are the only agency within the county that does not turn away or use waiting lists, regardless of one’s ability to pay. State and county funding help make equitable access to services possible.
Your home Care Aide Can:
- Do light cleaning and laundry.
- Assist with walking and routine physical activity.
- Help with getting/out of the shower.
- Apply lotion to back, feet and legs.
- Fix a meal or snack.
HOME DELIVERED MEALS
Wayne County Home Care Aide Agency offers a hot, nutritious meal Monday through Friday, including on Christmas and Thanksgiving Day to residents of Corydon and Allerton. This program also offers a worthwhile volunteer opportunity for anyone looking to give of their time.
